We limit the number of dogs in each class so that we can give as much
individual attention as possible. Enrollments are processed as received and
our classes do usually fill, so please be prompt in returning your
enrollment and fees to reserve your place in class. If you are enrolled in
a class and need to cancel, we must be notified at least seven days prior to
the start of that class. This allows us the opportunity to offer your space
to someone on the waiting list. We give either a one-time refund or
transfer to the next session of classes if we are notified within the time
limit. If you'd like to visit our classes, or would like more information
about our club, please call us at 832-1952 and leave a message. Our
machine is monitored regularly and you will receive a response. The number
of dogs per class is limited to allow us to better serve you. If the class
you choose is full, the Class Registrar will advise you as soon as
possible. If another class still has openings, you may ask to be placed in
that class. Regular attendance is highly encouraged to ensure maximum
learning.
As this is a non-profit organization, we do require that each class have
at least 5 students. If, one week prior to the class session beginning, we
have fewer than 5 students for a particular class, that class will be
cancelled and the Class Registrar will advise you by telephone or email.
You will have the option of transferring to the next session of classes or
having your money refunded to you.
Confirmations will be mailed at least 2 weeks prior to start of class.
You will be notified by telephone or email if your class choice is not
available.
Children
We do not recommend handlers under the age of 12 in any of our classes
due to the level of concentration and coordination necessary to successfully
train a dog. We do welcome well-behaved children of any age to come and
watch how their family dog is trained.
Rules
All dogs must be free of external parasites (fleas, ticks, lice) and must
have written proof of current vaccinations for RABIES, PARVOVIRUS, DHLP and
BORDETELLA.
Dogs must have a properly fitted collar and lead. We offer training
equipment to our students at a reasonable cost and will be happy to fit your
dog correctly.
We reserve the right to ask those who do not obey our rules to leave the
class. Instructors may dismiss any dog or handler at their discretion.
