Jan - Agility Weave Poles

This is a class is for both the beginner and the team that is continuing to proof weave poles and entries. It will meet the student where they are at and work to help them improve their skills. The class will use the 2x2 weave pole training method. The instructor will use video to review 2x2 weave pole training and provide hands on instruction. The best way to learn 2 x 2 weave poles is to practice them several times a day for very short periods of time. The best way to proof weave poles and weave pole entries is to continue to practice them frequently and work them in different locations. 

This class can and should be repeated until the dog is consistently completing 12 poles.

WDTC will have stick in the ground poles available for students to check out and use at home for the duration of the class. The poles MUST be returned at the end of the class session. If the poles are not returned, the student will not be allowed to enroll in another WDTC class until the poles are returned.

 Prerequisite – The dog and handler should be familiar with clicker/marker training and shaping behavior. The dog should be able to focus and work off leash.. No prior weave pole training is required.

Dog must be at least 14 months old – growth plates should be closed
